Herbert Francis "Frank" Connor

SSgt.Herbert Francis "Frank" Connor U.S. Air Force Retired, 83, died February 1, 2008 at Candler Hospital. He was born in Savannah, son of the late Christopher R. and Bessie Davis Connor. He attended Maris Brothers Catholic School, Sacred Heart Catholic School and was a graduate of Commercial High School. SSgt. Connor was a veteran of the Vietnam War and served twenty three years in the United States Air Force. After retirement, he was employed with the Georgia Ports Authority in the Accounting Department. At a young age, he attended and was confirmed at the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist and was a communicant of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. For many years, he was a volunteer at the Golden Age Senior Center in Windsor Forest helping to serve lunch.

Surviving are his sister, Marie C. Conway of Richmond Hill; nephew, Chris Conway and his wife, Kim of Richmond Hill; great nieces and nephews, Jason, Heather, Kevin and Meagan Conway all of Richmond Hill and his caregiver of eight years, David Searles of Savannah.

Mass of Christian Burial: 10:00 a.m. Monday, February 4, 2008 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with The Reverend Francis Higgins, Celebrant.

Burial: Hillcrest Abbey Memorial Park.
